The Peaceful Kids Day is a full-day, heart-led experience for children that gives them real, practical, age-appropriate tools for understanding their emotions, calming their nervous system and reconnecting with the quiet, steady part of themselves that is always there — even on the hard days. It is gentle. It is safe. It is fun.
You already know your child is sensitive, perceptive and feeling things deeply. You can see it in the way they respond to conflict, to overwhelm, to the busyness of school and friendships and the world moving faster than their little nervous system can always keep up with.
What you might not know yet is that the tools for navigating all of that are learnable. Not in a clinical, sit-still-and-breathe way. In a playful, experiential, child-friendly way that meets children where they actually are — curious, energetic, imaginative and far more capable of inner awareness than most adults give them credit for.
Laura Williams has been working with children, families and sensitive young people for years. She brings the same trauma-informed, warmly grounded approach to this day that she brings to her adult clients — adapted entirely for the developmental stage, the attention span and the natural learning style of the children in the room.
This is not a childcare day. It is not a school excursion. It is a purposeful, carefully held experience that your child will talk about for weeks to come.
Laura is a holistic counsellor, intuitive therapist and energy healer whose work with children and families is some of the most powerful work happening at Pure Heart Centre.
Laura understands children who feel things deeply — the ones who absorb the emotional energy of a room before they have words for what they are sensing, who become dysregulated in ways that are hard to explain and hard to support without the right tools.
She has worked with children navigating family change, anxiety, grief, sensory sensitivity and the particular challenges of growing up highly attuned in a world that doesn't always know what to do with that.
Laura is also a mother herself. She brings that lived understanding of what children actually need — not the textbook version, but the real one — into everything she facilitates.
The Peaceful Kids Day is a full day — relaxed, spacious and paced for children rather than packed with content. Every element of the day has been thoughtfully designed by Laura to build on the one before it, so that by the end of the day the children leave not just with individual tools but with a genuine felt sense of what it means to feel settled, safe and at home in themselves.
Morning — Coming Home to Your Body
The day begins gently. Children arrive into a warm, welcoming space that has been set up specifically for them — soft, beautiful, calm and inviting. There is no pressure to perform or to get anything right. The first part of the morning is simply about settling in, meeting the other children and beginning to build a sense of safety in the room.
From there, Laura guides the children through their first introduction to the body as a source of information — learning in the most practical, playful way possible that the feelings they experience as butterflies, tightness, heaviness or buzzing energy are not problems to be fixed but messages worth listening to. This is the foundation of everything else the day builds on.
A gentle breathing practice follows — enjoyable, child-friendly experience that gives each child a simple tool they can use anywhere, anytime, in any moment when the world feels like too much.
Mid-Morning — Understanding Big Feelings
This is often the children's favourite part of the day.
Using story, creative play and guided discussion, Laura helps the children build a working understanding of their emotional landscape — what different feelings actually feel like in the body, where they tend to live and what they are trying to communicate. Children are naturally fascinated by this work when it is presented without judgement and with genuine curiosity.
A creative activity gives each child the chance to express and externalise what they have been learning — making it personal, playful and genuinely theirs. No artistic ability required. No right answers. Just honest, joyful expression.
After Lunch — Guided Meditation & Visualisation
This is the heart of the day.
Laura is a gifted guide for children in meditation — her voice, her pacing and her understanding of the child's imaginative world make guided visualisation something children genuinely love rather than resist. The afternoon meditation is a full, immersive guided journey — specifically written for children, filled with imagery that speaks to the natural world and the child's innate sense of wonder.
Children are guided gently into a deeply relaxed state, through a restorative inner journey and back out — leaving them calm, open and genuinely glowing in the way that only real deep rest produces.
After the meditation, children have time to draw, write or simply sit with what they experienced — integrating in their own way and at their own pace.
Late Afternoon — Your Peaceful Toolkit
The final part of the day brings everything together into something each child can take home and use.
Laura guides the children through building their own personal Peaceful Toolkit — a simple, practical collection of the tools they have learned through the day, presented in a format they can remember and return to independently. Breathing practices, simple body-based check-ins, a personal calming visualisation and a few daily habits that take less than five minutes and make a genuine difference.
Every child leaves with their own completed toolkit — something tangible, personal and entirely theirs.
Parent Reconnection — End of Day
Parents are invited back into the space for the final thirty minutes of the day. Laura guides a short, warm debrief — sharing what the children explored, how they can support the tools at home and answering any questions parents have about continuing the work in daily life.
This thirty minutes is valuable. The tools children learn in this day only deepen when the adults in their lives understand and gently reinforce them at home. Laura gives you everything you need to do that without it feeling like another thing on your list.
The Peaceful Kids Day is run in two separate age groups to ensure the content, the language and the activities are genuinely appropriate for where each child is developmentally.
Little Hearts — Ages 5 to 8 A softer, more story-based and movement-rich day for younger children. More play, more creativity, shorter seated practices and a gentler introduction to the concepts. Maximum 8 children per group.
Growing Hearts — Ages 9 to 13 A deeper, more reflective day for older children — with longer meditation practices, more nuanced emotional literacy work and age-appropriate conversation about managing feelings, friendships, school pressure and the experience of being highly sensitive. Maximum 10 children per group.
If your child is on the boundary of an age group and you are unsure which day is the right fit, reach out and ask the question.
Every child who attends a Peaceful Kids Day leaves with their own personal Peaceful Toolkit — a beautifully simple, handmade resource that includes their personal breathing practice, their calming visualisation, their body check-in tool and their daily peaceful habits. It is theirs to keep, return to and add to over time.
They also leave with something less tangible but far more lasting — a genuine felt experience of what it means to feel calm, to know themselves a little better and to trust that the quiet, steady part of them is always available. That experience, once felt, is never entirely forgotten.

The Peaceful Kids Day is a joyful, gentle and genuinely nourishing experience for most children. It is not a therapeutic intervention and is not designed to replace professional psychological or psychiatric support for children experiencing significant mental health challenges.
If your child is navigating something more complex — anxiety, trauma, grief, significant behavioural challenges or neurodivergence — Laura offers private sessions specifically designed for their individual needs. Please reach out directly and she will guide you to the most appropriate pathway.
Your child might be ready for a Peaceful Kids Day if they are sensitive, empathetic or highly attuned to the feelings of others. If they find big emotions difficult to manage or recover from. If they experience anxiety, worry or overthinking. If they are curious about the inner world and naturally drawn to quieter, more reflective experiences. Or simply if you want to give them a genuine foundation of inner tools before life gets more complicated — which it always does.
You do not need to wait for a problem. The best time to give a child these tools is before they need them urgently. The second best time is right now.

If the Peaceful Kids Day resonates with you, it is worth knowing that the same tools Laura teaches your children are available to you too — in a different form, at a different depth, on a different day.
The inner work your child does in this space is only ever more powerful when it is mirrored at home by the adults in their life. Laura works with parents individually and in group settings, and Moira's Whispers of the Heart ebook is a natural companion for the parent who wants to develop their own intuition and inner knowing alongside their child.
