Sound Healing Course

What if you could understand sound the way your body already does?

This is a self-paced online course in the science, consciousness, and depth of sound healing.

This is Aknes's most comprehensive exploration of neuro acoustic science — the study of how sound frequency interacts with the nervous system, brain, and biofield.

Levels 1 and 2 included. Lifetime access. Begin anytime.

Why this course exists

Most sound healing courses teach you how to play instruments. This one teaches you why sound works.

The science behind sound healing is extraordinary — and often left out. The Pure Heart Sound Healing Course was created to close that gap: to give seekers, practitioners, and professionals the foundational understanding that makes everything else in this field make deeper sense.

Developed and taught by Dr Aknes Kendra, the course brings together years of sound practice, neuroscience, cellular biology, ancient wisdom traditions, and thousands of hours in the sound field.

“I have sat with many people in the field of sound. I have watched the nervous system soften, the face change, the breath return to the body. Sound is not a trend. It is a homecoming.”

— AK

Who this course is for

This course is for:

  • those wanting depth that honours both science and soul

  • wellness professionals — yoga teachers, massage therapists, counsellors, and energy workers — wanting to understand the science beneath what they already sense

  • people on their own healing journey who value both intellectual and felt learning

  • anyone who has experienced a sound bath and wants to understand what actually happened

  • creative and intuitive learners who want rigour without losing warmth

This course is for personal enrichment and professional deepening. It is not a practitioner certification and does not authorise professional or clinical sound healing practice.

Level 1 — The inner foundation of sound healing

Level 1 begins with the practitioner’s inner landscape — consciousness, ethics, resonance, and the relationship between sound and emotional experience.

Sound Practitioner Consciousness

Sacred practice principles, spiritual foundations, inner challenges, and the responsibility of holding space with sound.

Finding Your Sound Archetype

The energetic signatures of singing bowls, gongs, drums, tuning forks, and voice — and how to recognise your own resonance.

Emotional Attachments and Liberation

The developmental roots of emotional patterns, trauma storage in the body, and how sound creates safety for release without bypassing what is stored.

Five Layers of Consciousness — The Koshas

How sound moves through the five layers of being, from the physical body through to pure awareness. The yogic framework applied to timing, intention, and depth in practice.

The Nervous System and Sound

The autonomic nervous system, fight, flight, freeze, and fawn states — and how frequency supports genuine restoration, where science and lived experience meet.

Level 2 — The science and bio-energetic field of sound

Level 2 moves into the science — cellular, neurological, hormonal, electromagnetic, and planetary — that helps explain why sound reaches where words cannot.

Planetary Frequencies and the History of Sound as Medicine

The mathematical mapping of planetary cycles into audible frequency and the ancient civilisations that understood resonance as both healing and architecture.

Music Intervals, Octaves, and Their Effects

The physiological and energetic effects of musical intervals — why a perfect fifth expands and a tritone creates tension, and what that means in practice.

Harmonic Overtones and Sound Modulation

How singing bowls produce layered overtone architectures, and how skilled modulation works at frequencies below conscious perception.

Cellular and Molecular Resonance

How vibration influences cell membranes, DNA expression, protein synthesis, and mitochondrial function.

Brainwaves, States of Consciousness, and Sound

Delta, theta, alpha, beta, and gamma states — mapped to lived experience and to how sound supports neural coherence and meditative access.

Deep Brain and Neural Network Dynamics

The default mode network, cortical layers, and neural pathways involved in self-regulation. Why sound reaches places that talk-based approaches often cannot.

Endocrine Rhythms, Hormonal Coherence, and Sound

Cortisol, melatonin, oxytocin, serotonin — and how vibrational states support restoration through the hormonal system.

Mitochondria, Cellular Energy, and Vibrational Support

The vibration-responsive nature of mitochondrial structures and what this means for metabolic health and vitality.

Breath as the Master Rhythm

Breathwork integrated with vibrational regulation — the breath cycle’s relationship with the nervous system and the energetic body.

Magnetism and the Human Energetic Field

The bioelectromagnetic field, field coherence in healing, and how external vibrational fields reorganise the human field.

Facial and Vibrational Release

The emotional history held in the face and fascia, and how vibrational reorganisation supports both physical and emotional expression.

Safety, Ethics, and Trauma-Aware Practice

Trauma-awareness principles, scope of practice, safety protocols, and ethical responsibilities — whether you work personally or professionally.

FAQ section

Common questions

Is this course accredited or nationally recognised?

No. The Certificate of Completion acknowledges your engagement with this body of work. It is not a professional practitioner qualification and does not authorise clinical or professional sound healing practice.

Do I need prior experience?

None. Level 1 begins from first principles and is designed for complete beginners, while remaining substantive enough for experienced practitioners looking to deepen their understanding.

How long does it take?

There is no set timeframe. Some students move through in four to six weeks; others take three to four months. Access never expires, and the material is designed for integration, not speed.

How is it delivered?

Entirely online and self-paced. Pre-recorded video lessons, downloadable PDFs, and a personal booking link for your integration call with Aknes via video.

Can I use this to see clients professionally?

This course is for personal enrichment and professional deepening. Pure Heart Centre does not endorse using this course alone as the basis for professional practice. The 12-Month Pure Heart Practitioner Certification is the appropriate pathway for those wanting to work professionally.

What instruments are covered?

Singing bowls, Tibetan and crystal, gongs, drums, tuning forks, and voice — alongside planetary frequencies, harmonic overtone series, and field-based instruments. The emphasis is on science and consciousness, not technique alone.

Are refunds available?

Given the immediate access to digital materials, refunds are not available once enrolment is complete and materials have been accessed. Please read the course overview carefully before purchasing. Any rare technical issues can be directed to admin@pureheartcentre.com.

Sound is not a trend. It is a homecoming.

If this work speaks to you, trust that.

Whether you are here to deepen your own healing, understand the field of sound more intelligently, or build a stronger foundation for future practitioner work, this course offers a way to learn that is grounded, rigorous, and alive.

About Aknes

Aknes is a sound practitioner, researcher, and co-director of Pure Heart Centre. Trained in music from the age of four — including piano and studies at the Royal Ballet School — she brings together musical depth, neuroscience, ancient wisdom, and thousands of hours of direct experience in the sound field.

This course is entirely her own creation: a body of work built from genuine inquiry into what sound is, what it does, and why it matters.
